Barbacain Cup is an every-year open fencing tournament of an international status. Fencers from all among the Europe take part in the fights, and the citizens of Cracow are still more and more interested in that event. The Cup is organized in the non-profit way, and its main aim is to promote this unique sport in our country.

The event takes place under the patronate of the Cracow City President Jacek Majchrowski and with participation of local media and sponsors.

In 2009 during the Tournament, the Fencing Club of Cracow celebrated its 100 jubilee. On this occasion, the special event was organized: a friendly match of the Italian and Polish fencers, the bronze and silver medalists from Beijing.

This year event will have equally special character: it will be the 30th Tournament organized in Cracow.

We sincerely invite for this special event. Entrance is free. For the contestants taking part in the tournament, the special prizes and suprises are waiting.

Participation: tournament open for contestants born in 1995 and older

Participation fee: 25 PLN

Prizes:

Mens` epeé:

• 1 place – 1500 euro
• 2 place - 500 euro
• 3 place - 300 euro
• places 5-8 - 100 euro

Women`s epeé:

• 1 place – 1000 euro
• 2 place - 500 euro
• 3 place - 300 euro
• places 5-8 - 100 euro

During both days of finals in the Barbacain, among all paricipants the special 250 euro prize will be drawn in a lottery.

Konrad Kulik Special Award: € 250 for the best competitor born in 1991.

The necesasry case of receving a prize is presence during the decoration ceremony (speaking both about the tournament winners and the lottery).

Regulations: the tournament will be organized according to FIE rules
